2018 Tainan-ECCT Low Carbon Forum for Clean Air and Sustainability Solutions - 2018臺歐低碳永續與清淨城市論壇

On 15 November, the Tainan City Government held the annual 2018 Tainan-ECCT Low Carbon Forum for Clean Air and Sustainability together with European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan (ECCT). The forum was participated by 280 attendees from various industries,  academia,  and governmental agencies at the Tainan Shangri-La Far Eastern Plaza Hotel.

The forum revealed the challenges facing air quality in cities in relation to domestic heating and transportation, as well as shared best practice and cutting edge solutions to tackle these issues. Policy representatives from Germany, UK, Denmark, and industry leaders from BOSCH, CPC Corp. 中油公司, Evonik, and Scania presented their expertise and discussed how to collaborate and invest responsibly to foster a sustainable urban environment.

The Tainan-ECCT Low Carbon City forum has been jointly facilitated by Tainan’s Environment Protection Bureau and the ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) since 2013. The forum aims at promoting energy-saving and carbon emission reduction by bringing together the European top policy makers, scholars, and business leaders to address the challenges of a low-carbon economy for Tainan City.
